New Year Day’s routine

On New Year’s Day, I first go to the temple in hometown at 9:00 to greet the New Year.In Japan, temples managed the family register before Westernization, so even now, in rural areas, temples = local communities.After the greeting, I drove 600 km (375 mile) from my hometown of Isesaki City in Gunma Prefecture to Osaka City, where I currently live.It runs on the highway, but there is a route on the mountain side and a route on the sea side.Snow is also removed on the highway on the mountain side, so you can run during the day even if (more…)

Year-end cleaning

I usually live in Osaka, but I spend the year-end and New Year holidays at my home in Gunma.　I go back to Gunma about once every two months to take care of the farmland and clean the house.　I have two younger sisters who live in the neighborhood, so she and her husband are helping to maintain it, so we manage to maintain it.　Much of the farmland is rented out to people who cultivate it.　In the past, I used to grow my own rice and wheat, so it was difficult to go to Gunma frequently.　Now I only manage small orchards that (more…)

Japanese Imperial palace infront of Tokyo Station

I went on a business trip to Tokyo for the first time in a long time, and since I had time, I visited the Imperial Palace.The Imperial Palace of Japan is located in front of Tokyo Station.Tokyo Station, which looks like a British building, is sometimes said to be because Japan learned British railway technology.　However, the overall design was done by a German engineer:Franz Baltzer, and the exterior was designed by a Japan archtecture: Kingo Tatsuno. 　Baltzer proposed a Japan-like design, but the Japan government was promoting Westernization, and Tatsuno designed a English-like brick exterior.Tatsuno studied architecture in England..In the (more…)

SPY x FAMILY

Right now, an anime called SpyｘFamily is popular in my home. It has been a popular anime in Japan for several years. Now it is season 2 in onair.However, I didn’t watch it because it was broadcast late at night.I thought it was like a Blad Pitt and Angelina Jolie movie “Mr. and Mrs Smit” or “Incredible family”, but this was diffrent.The father ：Loid Forger was a spy for the West countries, and in order to infiltrate the East countries, he must find his daughter and wife for a fake family for spy mission.He searches for a literate child at (more…)
