Tetsu no Kujira(Iron Whale) museum

Iron whale means the Submarine. This museum is produced by Japan Defence Force Marine and it displays retired submarines. It’s in front of the Yamato Museum.The submarine AKISHIO is sitting at the intersection.Visitors can enter to this submarine inner. But it can’t take pictures.And in beside museum building we can learn JDFM(Japan Difence Force Marine) and KUre’s history.Japan Difence Force and Kure’s history.The Japan Self-Defense Force Marine has been dispatched overseas soon after World War II. YAMATO museum in Kure city

Yamato is old name of Japan. There were many contries in Japan in anicent. Yamato was largest country and it is current Nara city near by Osaka. Many countries were controled by this Yamato govenment. So, Japanese call Nara city as the old Capital city and Kyoto city is called the Capital city in ancient because Yamato govenment moved to Kyoto city in 794. Battleship Yamato was named from this old name of the capital city or govenment.This battleship has same model that name is MUSASHI. REIWA Era.

There is an era in Japan.Basically, when the Emperor changes, the era changes.Or, the era name of Japan is changed when there is a natural disaster and the plague and it wants to change the mood.On May 1, 2019, the era name was changed from HEISEI to REIWA, Emperor changed.HEISEI means that the world becomes peaceful. REIWA means that the world will be beautiful and symphony.The era name is often decided from Chinese classics.
