Hamamatsu Airpark

Hamamatsu Air Park is a public relations facility of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force of Japan.航空自衛隊浜松広報館 エアーパークIn this SF like building, an aircraft of the Air Self-Defense Force is exhibited.What’s more, admission is free! There is also a 3D theater inside, but that is also free. New Year Day’s routine

On New Year’s Day, I first go to the temple in hometown at 9:00 to greet the New Year.In Japan, temples managed the family register before Westernization, so even now, in rural areas, temples = local communities.After the greeting, I drove 600 km (375 mile) from my hometown of Isesaki City in Gunma Prefecture to Osaka City, where I currently live.It runs on the highway, but there is a route on the mountain side and a route on the sea side.Snow is also removed on the highway on the mountain side, so you can run during the day even if (more…)

Year-end cleaning

I usually live in Osaka, but I spend the year-end and New Year holidays at my home in Gunma. I go back to Gunma about once every two months to take care of the farmland and clean the house. I have two younger sisters who live in the neighborhood, so she and her husband are helping to maintain it, so we manage to maintain it. Much of the farmland is rented out to people who cultivate it. In the past, I used to grow my own rice and wheat, so it was difficult to go to Gunma frequently. Now I only manage small orchards that (more…)
