Osaka water festival

Osaka is water-city because it has many rivers and canals. This festival has no constant style though it is annual event. This is an event, what is called, for advancement of Osaka economic. Osaka-city continues try and errors. In 2013, huge rubber duck appeared in main field. Here is in front of Osaka-city center market beside river Aji-gawa. And here is an old port of Osaka, it was called as “Kawaguchi port”. Now it is called “Nakanoshima gate”, is an event field and is not port. The lady and Unicorn

The tapestry of the lady and Unicorn came from France to Osaka city museum. This art is a suite of six tapestries. In 2013, we went on a trip to France, though I did not know this tapestry in the museum in Paris. I regretted hard then. The reason of I wanted to see this tapestry is this tapestry is an important item in a story of GUNDAM UNICORN (original DVD animation in 2012-2014 , disk 1-7). Sorry(ToT)>”, this is a GUNDAM topic. Cyo-Ohkawara exhibition

Cyo means super. Mr. Kunio Ohkawara is a famous mechanical designer as he designed GUNDAM. Because Hyougo prefectural museum had his exhibition, I went to Hyogo-prefecture.Hyogo is neighbor prefecture of Osaka, easy to go from Osaka by railway. Hyogo means the armory. They said there was ancient armory in Yamato period (until about A.D. 600) for against invading army from west-south Japan and continental. Almost of Japanese museums, it cannot allow to take pictures in the museum. So, sorry here is no pictures inside. This is entrance of the exhibition room, MS-06S Zaku’s line art on large wall. Hakata DONTAKU

DONTAKU is famous festival in Fukuoka prefecture of Kyusyu island west south Japan. In addition, Fukuoka is my wife’s hometown. Hakata is a central downtown name in Fukuoka-city and it area is little almost around of Hakata station. Fukuoka-city is a port town and faces Hakata Bay. Name of “Hakata” is popular than “Fukuoka” in history. Many Japanese have misunderstanding “Hakata-city” exists as Fukuoka capital city. Really, they say it discussed to choose “Hakata-city” instead of “Fukuoka-city” when Tokugawa Shogun government returned political power to Emperor. In souvenir shops in Hakata-Station, There are very few items of named “Fukuoka…” souvenirs. (more…)

Kunoh-san Tohsyoh-gu

Kunoh-san Tohsyoh-gu is a cemetery of Shogun Ieyas Tokugawa (A.D. 1542-1616).Kunoh-san means Mt. Kunoh. Tohsyoh-gu means the palace of shining east. After him dead, it established this palace for deifying Ieyasu Because this is ritual, so I can’t explain enough. It needs to divide his body to 2 parts and bury at south and north palaces from Edo-Castle. South palace is Kunoh-san Tohsyoh-gu, here. North on is Nikko Tohsyoh-gu in Tochigi prefecture. Then his started government (Edo-period) continues about 270 years (A.D 1603 – 1867).In the last of Edo-period, Tokugawa backed political power to Emperor with bloodless. Both of Tohsyou-gu (more…)
