DRAGON QUEST

TAIYOⅡ maintenance in CORONA

We have stopped gathering and sailing together to combat corona infection.TAIYOII is floating in the sea even if club activity is suspended, so maintenance is required.I work with the members to look around every other week.It was until dusk and I made sure that the mast work light, the bow port light, and the stern light were on. Repair TAIYOⅡcompleted

The crane has been repaired and the yacht can now be moved to the workshop. Along with the repair of water leakage from the shaft, we also cleaned the bottom of the ship.The shaft seal has been changed to a Volvo system.After that, it is stable without leaking water. (more…)

TAIYOⅡ Repair

I am the head of the yacht club of the company.At the end of last year, a water leak was found in the shaft and asked for repair.However, because the crane failed, we had to wait until the crane was repaired.It’s a marina run by a yacht repair company, so they regularly looked around and leaked water.　The floorboards are peeled off to understand the state of the water leaking from the shaft.The repairs are apparently expected to be in February. Sailing to Wakaura-port

I am a member of Yacht-club in company. Usually, we have a middle distance sailing event in end of March or June. This year’s destination is Wakaura-port (alomost here in every year). About 6 hours sailing to Wakaura-port in Wakayama prefecture from Tajiri-port in Osaka where is in front of Kansai airport. After we arrived to Wakaura-port, we enjoy dinner party. About 30-40 yacht men enjoy drinking liquor and sea food.Mr. Aoki and I. Mr. You Aiki is a famous yacht man, he is a Guiness holder as a man successed to make a round-the-world sailing by minimum size yacht.↓ (more…)
