Space world is a theme park in Kita-Kyusyu city in Fukuoka prefecture. Probably, this is a one of popular theme parks in Kyusyu Island in Japan, but it will be closed in this year end. Other famous theme park Huis Ten Bosch is in Nagasaki prefecture in Kyusyu Island, Ten Bosch is a theme park of Holland and has financial difficulties too, but recently Ten Bosch has many visitors form Asian countries and financial condition becomes well. Yoshinogari remains YAMATAI-KOKU(koku means country) is ancient Japanese country in AD. 2 -3 century and there were many countries in Japan. Shin-Moji is a new (Shin means new in English, like a Shin-Osaka) port in South of Kyusyuu Island. Yukiko’s hometown is Fukuoka city in Fukuoka prefecture in Kyusyuu Island. Usually we use Sinkansen Express between Osaka and Fukuoka (Hakata) city. This time we use a ferry boat. It needs for one night. DONTAKU is famous festival in Fukuoka prefecture of Kyusyu island west south Japan. In addition, Fukuoka is my wife’s hometown. Hakata is a central downtown name in Fukuoka-city and it area is little almost around of Hakata station. Fukuoka-city is a port town and faces Hakata Bay. Name of “Hakata” is popular than “Fukuoka” in history. Many Japanese have misunderstanding “Hakata-city” exists as Fukuoka capital city. Really, they say it discussed to choose “Hakata-city” instead of “Fukuoka-city” when Tokugawa Shogun government returned political power to Emperor. In souvenir shops in Hakata-Station, There are very few items of named “Fukuoka…” souvenirs. (more…)
