JanJan Street

Get off Midosuji subway line at “Dobutuen mae” (: Animal park). You arrive in front of Festival gate building that is amusement building. You walk to east then you arrive Janjan street . Here isn’t sightseeing place, it is a real Osaka people’s downtown. Many Osaka people are drinking liquors in daytime. I think that foreign visitor doesn’t visit here. But you can enjoy deep Osaka native customs.

Because my hometown is Gumma prefecture and wife’s hometown is Fukuoka prefecture and both is far from Osaka , we haven’t gone to Janjan street .

But when foreign business partners visited Osaka , I wanted to enjoy them Real Osaka Taste. I research Kushi-Katsu bistro in Janjan street and I guided them to Janjan street .

Put in hot Flied pieces of skewered (pork , beef and vegetables) to special sauce and eat. Don’t enter to sauce twice. This is basically rule in Kushi-katsu.

Walking janjan street from subway station, you reach Tsuten-kaku tower. After you enjoyed Kushi-katsu dinner , enjoy also iluminations of street and  Tsutenkaku tower.
