Maldive Island |

We visited Vadoo island in Maldive on a haneymoon in1998. The Republic of Moldive has many island. And almost of each islands is one resort hotel. From international airport Male,
visitors abord to little ship and go each island. Island elactrical power is supplied by self-generator. But, internet and TV can't work. In holiday season, direct flight plane flies form Japan, but it usually via Kuala Lumpur. So traveler stay about 6 hours and more in Kuala Rumpur. They say Maldive is a last Heaven, a last heaven is far form everyday life. |

We staied at waret cottage. All visitor of cottage are hanemooner, here is mecca for Japanese haneymooner. So, man needs
decision for saying "Plesase get
reservation for water cottage, I will pay how it is expensive." to
travel agency.

Water cottage looks is like southern
country house, but that' base is reinforced concreate and columns are steel
pipes. Interior is like a suite of city hotel.

The area around the cottage is a shallow reef and it is
very beautiful. Tropical fish are swimming. With one pair of underwater
glasses, you can experience the southern seas. I was able to take beautiful pictures with a disposable underwater camera (disposable camera with a waterproof case). It is also sold in the resort. |
The photo on the right shows the overwater bar. Overwater cottages and bars in Badu are often seen in various places as photographs of the southern island. |

Guests need it in moderation (I meet them when I eat at
restaurants), but I don't see many people when I walk around the island
during the day. Drinking tea at the overwater bar makes me feel like I'm
reserved every day. In fact, Badu is on the edge of the Maldives, and the tourists who come here are all divers. So, during the day, everyone goes diving. However, there are no guests on the island during the day. My wife and I can't dive, so we spent about 15 minutes wandering around the island and diving around the cottage with underwater glasses. The divers told me it would be a waste to come to Badu, but I was able to enjoy the southern island leisurely and quietly. |
